Our Mission

At Aesthetic Dentistry of Charlottesville, our goal is to provide the best dental care possible in a family friendly environment. In pursuit of that goal, we stand firm in our belief that one of the most important factors in receiving the highest quality dental care is access to accurate information; the more the better. Patient education is at the core of everything we do here at ADC because we know that patients who are fully informed and educated are better enabled to make good decisions for themselves and their families with regard to their dental care. All of our doctors and staff take the time to answer any questions you may have while you are here in the office. Frequently, we use pictures or diagrams as well as dental models and demo restorations in order to communicate effectively with our patients. Additionally, all of our operatories are equipped with sophisticated patient education software which assists in our efforts by showing animations of dental procedures, techniques, materials, and technologies that we incorporate into our practice. However, our desire to educate transcends our existing patients and their families. It is our desire to reach out to the community as a whole, beyond the borders of our office. We believe that everyone deserves access to the abundance of practical and useful dental information. To facilitate this task, we’ve teamed up with the Charlottesville Newsplex in an effort to provide information to Charlottesville and its surrounding communities in order to have a positive impact on dental health here in central Virginia. Every Tuesday, on the 6pm news, all of the Newsplex stations will broadcast the “Charlottesville Dental Minute”. Each segment will feature our very own Dr. Anita Neel. She will discuss a new topic each week. In fact, she has already talked about the importance of dental health as it relates to our overall general health and about teeth whitening as well as the causes and of dry mouth and available remedies to this problem that can negatively affect our dental health. The segment will run every Tuesday for the next year and feature a new topic each week. To make sure we remain relevant to our community audience, we encourage feedback after all segments from patients and non patients alike. Dr. Neel’s email address is provided at the end of each segment and she’d love to hear from you if you have questions about any of the topics she’s discussed or if you’d like to make suggestions for future segments.

As always, I welcome feedback regarding my monthly blog. You can reach me at manager@cvillesmiles.com or by clicking the link below. Even if you are not a patient, feel free to email me if you have any questions or suggestions for future posts. I will do my best to address them or at least point you in the right direction. I look forward to continuing to share with you each month.

Sincerely,

Adam Schulz
