At Aesthetic Dentistry of Charlottesville, our goal is to provide the best dental care possible in a family friendly environment. In pursuit of that goal, we stand firm in our belief that one of the most important factors in receiving the highest quality dental care is access to accurate information; the more the better. Patient education is at the core of everything we do here at ADC because we know that patients who are fully informed and educated are better enabled to make good decisions for themselves and their families with regard to their dental care. All of our doctors and staff take the time to answer any questions you may have while you are here in the office. Frequently, we use pictures or diagrams as well as dental models and demo restorations in order to communicate effectively with our patients. Additionally, all of our operatories are equipped with sophisticated patient education software which assists in our efforts by showing animations of dental procedures, techniques, materials, and technologies that we incorporate into our practice. However, our desire to educate transcends our existing patients and their families. It is our desire to reach out to the community as a whole, beyond the borders of our office. We believe that everyone deserves access to the abundance of... Read more

Additionally, many individual states have added their own regulations over and above the federal requirements as an added level of protection. Examples of such requirements include periodic staff training, regular inspection of sterilizing equipment and weekly spore testing procedures to demonstrate that the sterilization equipment is functioning properly. OSHA approved disinfection chemicals are a must and so is the proper technique for their use. The sterilization area in every office must also be divided into contaminated and clean zones so that sterile items do not come into contact with contaminated items. Staff members are required to use personal protective equipment when handling contaminated items and there are... Read more
